Traffic Counts
POLICY:
The City has the ability to record traffic count data in the area of volume, speed, and vehicle classification.
The City maintains volume counts on file of major intersections including arterial, collector and residential streets. Additional counts are kept for areas where traffic engineering studies were required. Click on the links below to access the most recent count data in a spread sheet format.
Vehicle classification and speed count are kept only in cases where traffic engineering studies have required them.
Traffic engineering studies are required with all citizen request investigations, signal light, stop sign and yield sign installation and/or removal.
Traffic Count Maps are available upon request. The maps are kept in the vault located at City Hall in the Engineering Department.
Locations not on our map or outdated can be counted upon requests. Completion of special requests take 2-4 weeks. Multiple special requests for new counts at one time are only available upon approval of the City Traffic Engineer.
